Summer Woodworking & Outdoor Skills Camp 2026

A week-long immersion in craft and movement for students ages 10–14. Woodworking, archery, javelin, and games — brought together in a focused, intentional environment that builds real skill and physical confidence.

What Makes This Camp Different?

Each day balances hands-on workshop time with outdoor movement — archery, javelin, and games built around strength, accuracy, and teamwork. Students work with real tools, real materials, and each other.

Camp Details

Location: Waldorf School of Santa Barbara - 7421 Mirano Dr, Goleta, CA 93117

Session Dates:

Session 1: June 15th - June 19th

Session 2: June 22nd - June 26th

Session 3: June 29th - July 3rd (2 spots left)

• Tuition: $375

How to Enroll

Signing up is simple. Here's how it works:

1. Download the enrollment packet The packet includes a registration form, liability waiver, and media release. Download it below, or we can send it to you directly.

2. Secure your spot Tuition is $375 per session. Space is limited to 12 campers per session. To hold your child's spot, send payment via Zelle or Venmo once you've decided on a session. Please include which session you would like to sign up for.

Payment in full is due to confirm enrollment. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Bring your paperwork on day one Complete the enrollment packet and bring it signed on the first morning of your session. That's it — you're in.

Cancellation Policy: I understand that plans change. Cancellations made at least two weeks before your session start date are fully refundable. Within two weeks, we're unable to offer refunds but will do our best to transfer your spot to another session if space is available.

Woodworking Instruction

Students will:

• Learn safe handling of hand tools
• Develop measuring and material awareness
• Practice sawing, shaping, and hand tool fundamentals
• Complete a functional woodworking project
• Experience the discipline of workshop culture

Instruction is progressive, safety-centered, and rooted in traditional craftsmanship.

Movement & Outdoor Games

In addition to workshop time, students participate daily in structured outdoor movement inspired by Waldorf physical education traditions.

Activities may include:

• Archery
• Javelin throwing
• Cooperative team games
• Strength and coordination exercises
• Rhythm-based and strategy games

These activities build:

• Focus and aim
• Spatial awareness
• Confidence and physical coordination
• Respect for rules and safety
• Healthy competition and teamwork

The goal is not performance, but development — cultivating capable, grounded young people through movement and play.
